The neighbourhood was built in 1948 and became one of Belgrade’s 17 municipalities.Piotr quickly fell in love with the unchanged and raw modernist architecture of this place, mainly because of their contrast with what he experienced as kitschy and colourful blocks of Warsaw. His goal was to photograph the cityscape from street to roof, even catching glimpses of the view outside the apartments of the panelki.
